Our mission is to empower young people by teaching the biblical principles of Jesus Christ and the essential life skills that foster spiritual growth, strong character development, practical wisdom, confidence, and the resources they need to become self-sufficient and thrive in life.
Through leadership development, vocational training, financial literacy, and practical life skills programs, we equip youth to take charge of their future and contribute positively to their communities. We are committed to cultivating a nurturing environment where faith and knowledge work together to prepare future generations to lead boldly with integrity, serve joyfully with compassion, and live purpose driven lives.
Founded in 2025, we're growing from a small group of 10 families to a thriving community — all united by the simple idea that helping at home builds character for life.

Vicki Gatling
Founder & Executive Director
Vicki has over 30 years of experience working with and mentoring children. She has started and worked several children's ministries and has worked with several summer camps. She is a Pastor and a mother of two. After seeing how much confidence children gained from simple household responsibilities, she decided to start Empowerment Corner in 2025, seeking to empower youth with life skills so that they can build confidence for tomorrow.
